The war started on the 5th of December 1971 when a Pakistani infantry brigade crossed the Border 16 kilometers away from Longewala. Many young men, including Dharam Veer (Akshaye Khanna) and a Raja of Rajhastan (Sunil Shetty) come together to fight a war with their battalion leader, Kuldeep Singh (Sunny Deol).
